To make a claim for compensation for mesothelioma contracted at work, you must meet these criteria:

1. Mesothelioma diagnosis: You must have a diagnosis of mesothelioma, a type of cancer that is almost always caused by exposure to asbestos.
2. Exposure to asbestos: You must have been exposed to asbestos in the course of your employment. This exposure may have been direct, such as handling asbestos materials, or indirect, such as inhaling asbestos fibres in the air.
3. Employer’s responsibility: Your employer must have had a duty of care to protect your health and safety at work, and must have failed to take adequate precautions to prevent your exposure to asbestos.
4. Time limits: You must make your claim within three years of your mesothelioma diagnosis, or within three years of the date when you became aware that your mesothelioma was caused by exposure to asbestos.
