SRA investigation? SRA interventions? SDT proceedings? "The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) says it expects to shut down 56% more law firms this year [2008] than it did last. The number of ‘interventions’ could reach 75 by the end of the year, compared with 48 in 2007. Intervention involves the SRA sending an agent to close a practice on grounds ranging from dishonesty to death. Of the 58 interventions made by the end of October, the most common grounds were dishonesty, followed by substantial/frequent rule breaches." “Law Society Gazette” 27th November 2008

"Thank you for the fax confirmations from the SRA. Thank you very much for all your assistance and perseverance against what has been an intolerable and difficult SRA situation. Without your assistance and expertise in this area we would not have had such a successful outcome. I also appreciate the assistance and advice in relation to the removal of conditions on the PC. Without this my application would never have succeeded."
