Approach to costs
Solicitors at Humphreys & Co. always aim to approach legal work in a financially-disciplined way. We offer competitive rates. Our charging approach is both transparent and geared to the options open to our clients. Our solicitors generally charge by reference to time spent but we can often agree fixed fees for specific work or in some cases risk-adjusted funding structures.

Europe Trademark Registration

OHIM (the body responsible for examining and registering European Community Trade Marks (“CTMs”)) have reduced their fees.

It will now cost you a total of €900 in official fees (previously €1,600) to register your trade mark (trademark) in up to three classes.

This is a massive saving of €700 (approximately £620)!

We are pleased to supply on request a factsheet setting out the costs and benefits of and procedures for filing a CTM application.

To file a single Europe CTM trademark application  in up to 3 classes covering the 27 CTM EU countries we offer a total cost of £1,231.25* (UK pounds) (including official fees).
*This costing excludes VAT (chargeable in addition if we are instructed from within the UK) and bank transfer charges and may vary in accordance with exchange rates current from time to time.

We think this is outstanding value for money given the benefits of a trade mark registration.

In particular, a European Community trade mark registration will give you the right to use your mark for the goods and/or services that it covers in the following countries:

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands and the UK.

If you would like to file a CTM application to try to monopolise your trade mark(s) in the European Community then we should be pleased to act for you.  If you have any questions, then do feel free to contact:
